Day 4: No.14 Jyoraku-ji (常楽寺)

Jyoraku-ji is built on rocky place

It looks unique because Jyoraku-ji is built on rocky place as you can see in this picture. There is no tour pilgrims, and it’s crispy fine today. There’re also some cats walking around this area, so I can enjoy quiet atmosphere very much. It turns out that they’re just stray cats according to the lady in the Nokyo-jyo.

At each temple, you can find this description

It’s always interesting to read the explanation/history about the temple. Jyoraku-ji is the only temple which is dedicated to Miroku-bosatsu among all the 88 temples.
